but we cant see the above, so we anticipate the shadows.

life is like a ball of play dough, shape it into what you want it to be.

sir muffler drownyface the first.

That is my fish's name, although he goes by muffler. lately i see him staring through his bowl into my room, as if life is better on the outside. i do understand how he must be feeling, trapped in a place where you can see everything around you and yet you just cant seem to get there. i need to buy him a friend. im not sure how good of an idea that is though, because the last fish i had im pretty sure sir muffler killed. even though i had miss buzzlightyear before i had even brought muffler home so you would think buzzlightyear would have killed him. poor fish.

anyways. i said something in my last post about posting something iv written. at one point my cousin and i were convinced we could write a book. that idea soon went up in smoke. but i still have a few parts from the story ( the introduction of it that is ).
so here goes, a random passage from, the mustache diaries. (yes we really thought that would be a great novel idea)

The summer heat scorches the top of my head, along with every other inch of my body as i walk aimlessly, only the sidewalk can tell me where I'm going. i need to escape this concrete jungle that is society. the jungle, a beast eat snake, eat bird, eat seed kind of place where the most innocent thing gets devoured like cake at an eight year old's birthday party, and the only way to survive is to become the animal everyone else would run from. the animal your mother would be ashamed of, especially when she realizes that's exactly how she once was, probably still is.
the actuality of it is, once you'v unleashed the monster your parents trained you for years to never let out, you cant take it back. the pure goodness and virtue you had gathered within those years of childhood was instantly let loose like a dog in a cage fight, and that fight was fought til death leaving only the most powerful rabid creature, one with a striving hunger for superiority, oh how you'll live to feed it.


the story itself was originally going to be a mixture of chaos from various characters lives. their perspectives, ideas, and overall lives would be intertwined.
but we kind of stopped writing it. i hoped you liked it though.

in this crazy world, when iv had a horrible day, that turns itself into a week, that has turned itself into a horrible month, only a few things can get me through it. such things include chocolate, which really is helpful for relieving stress, great music, such as the songs find a way by safety suit and skeleton key by margot and the nuclear so and sos, and finally beyond amazing friends, becca. richard. natalia. i love you guys. by the way becca, im pretty sure youl end up reading this. so. come home already! or, i'll virtually punch you and claim it was revenge for virtually punching me first!

one of the original reasons i first started writing this blog was to get my writings out there. because believe it or not, im actually a fairly good writer. tomarrow i think i'll put some of it up here for you guys to read. bahhumbug if you dont like it.

also. she's out of my league. i love that movie. id give it 26 out of 10 stars.
my next virtual conquest shall be, animal house. i think its an older movie. but its looks funny.

another thing to point out,
school starts back up soon.
i know my summer goal was to get in shape and im sure many other people had the same one, but until now i wasnt even the slightest bit commited.
one word. yoga. although its rather cool much like yoda, it has nothing to do with starwars. (feel free to virtually punch me for the lame joke) its a great workout, with less sweating. its calm and very effective. i myself have been doing it daily for the past week and im starting to see an improvement, which i wasnt expecting. try it children.

i currently cannot feel my toes,
and by cannot feel them.
i mean their slowly dying off from the rest of my body.
beccas dog is crushing me, but atleast shes comfy.

the main reason for this post!
getting in shape.
we all have those goals, such as losing the weight we packed on this year or just toning up some area.
beccas family has inspired me to actually do it!
so i suggest everybody go along with the idea;
school starts back up, look your best!
and look your best, by getting back in shape.
getting healthier!
being able to run a mile without passing out when you first hit a sprint!
even just working on having a more rounded healthier diet is a start.

i find the two toned pairs much more attractive, that they have a vintage style and are quite glamorous, if i say so myself. Although! a flaw when it comes to oxfords, they have a tendancy to make your feet look big, so like everything else you have to find the right style for your body!
im going to quote everybodys mother when i say "the world fashion is going on repeat." clothing from the 80s (skinny jeans!) are coming back, so why dont you be the first to go totally retro and buy something that screams "blast from the past" you can even get something new, that resembles something vintage. dont get too crazy though. just have fun when it comes to fashion.

Last night driving home from Arizona (all the way back to florida) my father and i had a talk, alone in the car, he told me the key to life. "the key to growing old successfully" as he said it. (note this is all a matter of opinion) to him there are three key points.

the first, find somebody to spend your life with. it doesnt have to be a boyfriend. a girlfriend. or somebody you even want to be around all the time. just make sure you have one person you can always count on to be there. somebody who when you cant tie your shoes, will help you. when all your family is gone. somebody that will be there for you. somebody that when everybody has a gun to your head, you can rely on that person to stand by you and help you out.
the second, know your word is your everything. people have no honor now a days, keep your word and people will not only know they can trust and rely on you, they will also respect you. whether its a promise or just something you said you would do, do it. even if it could mean you might lose money or whatever the consequence may be. your word is all you have when everything else fails.
The third key point, Realize nothing in life is 100% for sure. realize things change. realize, nothing is exact. you cant keep all promises, you cant not lie ever in your life, other people wont always do what you want. its life.

Notice the third and second key points to life correspond with each other because one says always do what you say you will but the other is that you wont always be able to. its confusing, but i want everybody to ponder this.

you say you wont ever steal. but what about when you cant afford medicine for your dying child and you know you can take it without being caught, would you?

And the blogging has begun.
This blog is called "a drop in the ocean" for various reasons.
the most obvious, it is the name of a song.

but i chose it because not only are the song and singer ron pope both amazing,
it also signifies that we are all basically, a drop in the ocean.
we are each small, and also a part of something huge.

sometimes we dont realize how huge a part of this world we are,
sometimes we only think about how little we are.
we are all something big.

this blog as a whole will not be about one thing, it will not talk about just fashion. or music. or that my neighbors dog died, which i dont even know if my neighbors have dogs. its going to be about anything and everything.
but i can promise you, each blog will have some sort of lyric, name of the song, and artist.
and each blog will say something. no babbling like im currently doing.
each blog will broaden your view and help you to experience something new.
